Learn how to brew up magical inks, including oak gall and iron black!

 

In this workshop we will teach you how to be an ink maker, you will be shown how to extract natural dye from plant materials, how to refine your ink and mix it with gum Arabic to form luscious, beautiful colours that are a pleasure to paint and draw with.

 

You will also receive a digital manual covering all of these techniques so you can carry on ink making at home.

 

A word of warning, it can be very addictive!

 

The morning will be a wonderful chance to meet other likeminded people and will promise to be an assault on the senses with bubbling pots of liquor, earthy smells and alchemic reactions.
